About

The vault is a one-person operation. Every plugin here is designed, coded, tested and supported by prodbymaestro.

I’m Moritz, originally from Austria, and I’ve been producing since I was ten, a decade in now. Somewhere along the way I got tired of waiting for someone else to build the tool I actually needed, so I started writing my own. The vault exists because I wanted plugins that were genuinely new rather than another emulation of the same old hardware: simple, inventive tools that make a producer’s life easier, and priced so they’re actually affordable rather than a luxury.

The approach

These are not emulations. There is no attempt to match the curve of a famous compressor or to recreate a console channel strip. Each plugin exists because a specific thing was annoying in a specific mix, and the fastest way to fix it turned out to be writing the processor.

That leads to unusual solutions. Swarm tunes eight resonant filters with a flocking simulation rather than a preset bank. ResoTamer converts harsh energy into overtones instead of cutting it away. Split Chorus refuses to treat bass and treble as the same signal.

Everything is written in C++ with JUCE 8, runs allocation-free in the audio thread, and reports its latency honestly to the host. The interfaces share one design language (a 4-pixel grid, three radii, four type sizes, one accent) with the fonts compiled into the binary so they render identically everywhere.
